5248 Committee Presents at Legislative Assembly Days
Representatives of the 5248 Committee and the Ruckelshaus Center briefed the House Local Government and Housing Committee and the Senate Agriculture and Rural Economic Development Committee on Friday, October 2nd. Center staff provided a handout to the legislative members that furnished an update of the 5248 process.
Bill Ruckelshaus and Ann Seiter spoke on behalf of the Center, providing an overview of the process and an update on the Committee’s progress. Eric Johnson, Bill Robinson, David Troutt and Dan Wood spoke on behalf of the 5248 Committee’s four caucuses and emphasized two points: 1) the Committee has come a long way in terms of building relationships and deepening understanding of the parties’ interests and needs; and 2) they share a common desire to reach an agreement soon.
